INCLEMENT WEATHER

In the event of inclement weather, to include but not limited to, rain and extreme heat, it is the responsibility of the official(s) who is/are assigned to the game to contact the home school to find out if the game, that is schedule, will be played.

 

Please do the following on days if inclement weather:

1. Call the school by 12:00 the day of the game. 
2. Talk to the Athletic Director, Coach or the Athletic Department Secretary. Telephone numbers are on the Contact List in the Arbiter. 
3. Do not talk to the school operator about rainouts. 
4. When you are notified by the school that the game is rained out, call our assigner  immediately. 
5. If and when the rained out game is rescheduled by the school representative (AD or Coach), have the school athletic representative contact our assigner. You will also contact our assigner immediately. This is our Unit policy whether you are available or already have an accepted game.
 

 

 

In the event that the official arrives at the site without verifying the status of the game, and the game is not played, no fee shall be paid to that official. If the official is in fact notified that the game will be played, by the home school by 12:00 noon, and he/she arrives to the site and the game is cancelled, the official(s) shall receive 1/2 game fee. If the game starts and it is determined that the game can not continue due to weather and/or safety concerns, the official shall receive a full game fee.
